to wong foo thanks for nothing weidos
Meanwhile, on my way home I decided to stop at the local gay bar… you know because I was curious to see what kind of freaks were out tonight. Turns out there was a drag show. Which brings me to the point of this post. As a gay man I can honestly say that I don’t understand ‘drag’. It’s not an art form, it’s fucking weird. In fact, I can’t stand it. I couldn’t believe people were clapping at some lip sinking Jezebels on stage. I didn’t even finish my beer I was so repulsed.
Now, I would consider myself open minded. If I’m missing the point I welcome you to explain it to me, but really I’m at a loss. Please! someone explain the purpose/entertainment value of seeing men dress up like women.
Word, sir. And for me, to at least some extent, traditional camp. I don’t mind when camp informs something else (in fact, I often really like it), but camp for camp’s sake is really usually entirely too much.
